Greg Shaheen


With more than 30 years of management experience, Greg Shaheen most recently oversaw the strategic operation of the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship as well as negotiating and overseeing the NCAA’s 14-year, $11.5+ billion contract with broadcast partners Turner, CBS and ESPN – the largest sports media contract in history. He supervised the NCAA Corporate Champion/Corporate Partner program and its corporate and broadcast alliances group, which manages the broadcast, radio, Internet, publishing, marketing, licensing and fan festival elements across all NCAA events.  Shaheen also served as president of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT), the nation’s oldest postseason collegiate basketball tournament. In 2010, Shaheen began overseeing the strategic development and operation of all of the NCAA’s 89 Championships, covering more than 850 sites and involving some 45,000 student-athletes annually. Before joining the NCAA, Shaheen for 18 years served as the chief administrative officer of Indiana-based Long Electric, a privately held company with 400 employees.
